Northeastern University, Department of Psychology
I am a social psychology researcher working towards a Ph.D. in Psychology at Northeastern University, Boston, USA. In a nutshell, I am interested in exploring the following research questions using methods of scientific inquiry:
Why do we experience emotions like compassion and empathy? Does it serve an important functional purpose, and if so, how does it benefit us as individuals? How do contemplative practices, such as mindfulness meditation, affect social behavior? What are the effective ways of enhancing compassion in individuals?
